Deadline: 12th of December 2008
Prize: £10,000 total: First prize is £6,000; two further prizes of £2,000 each

The Mind Gym prize is open to everyone. Submissions from new researchers are especially welcome. If the work has been done by more than one person, all authors must be signatories and divide any winnings accordingly.

We're looking for quality, not quantity. Submissions should be no more than 8,000 words and be equivalent to that of reputable peer-refereed journals in the field. Empirical studies are preferred, but papers that make substantial theoretical or conceptual advances may be considered.

Submissions may be published or unpublished reports, carried out in the two years before 12th of December 2008. They must be written in English, and contain an executive summary of 500 words that clearly indicates the contribution to knowledge and its potential for application. You can't submit the same research twice, that would be silly, but you can submit as many different papers that fulfil the criteria.

We will use your research, such as in our books and workshops although we will always reference you. You retain the right to publish in academic journals and anywhere else you like as well. It is your responsibility to ensure that there are no competing claims for intellectual property rights or copyright over your submitted research and to satisfy The Mind Gym that this is the case.

Nominees will be announced on The Mind Gym website. If you are nominated, you will be invited to attend our award ceremony which will take place in March 2009. As a nominee, you will also be required to take part in any interviews about your research and the practical applications of it.

The Mind Gym reserves the right to not award prizes if the academic board of judges does not feel any of the submissions are what we are looking for. The Mind Gym's decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
