Challenge

“SAP is much more than technology. I wish my people understood this”, exclaimed the head of delivery at a global energy company. A big responsibility for making the business transformation happen lay with the global team of change agents. The challenge was how to equip these change agents quickly with the change management skills to guide and support local managers when SAP came to town.

Solution

The SAP leadership decided to run a series of workouts for change agents on how to:

  • Sell in the opportunities.
  • Overcome resistance and conflict.
  • Support managers along the journey so they increasingly assume responsibility.

Workouts were delivered both face-to-face and virtually to create a shared experience.

Results

6 weeks later, the following percentage of participants said they had successfully been able to apply the knowledge and skills they learnt in the workout to their jobs.

In addition, 88% of participants said the workouts were a worthwhile investment for the company.
