
Challenge
The Senior Civil Servants in this department were feeling disempowered and frustrated and were underperforming on several key measures.
The challenge was to develop both SCS and grade 6/7 so they took ownership for solving problems, worked more seamlessly across teams and delivered difficult messages effectively to senior stakeholders (including Ministers).
Solution
A leadership development programme for Senior Civil Servants and their potential successors, tailored around two core themes: Performance Management and Stakeholder Engagement.

Result
The participants found the techniques acquired in the programme relevant and useful. As a result, they saw a vast improvement in communication and problem-solving processes across their teams.
