Challenge
Employee engagement in one of the largest music and entertainment companies in the world was dangerously low following a series of mergers and demergers.
Compared to similar organisations, this company had fared relatively well during the economic recession. Their challenge was to improve employee motivation and energy to maintain growth as the market conditions started to improve.
Solution
The Mind Gym offered a series of 20 sessions, allowing individuals to take ownership for their personal development and choose their own unique journey. The sessions were themed around creativity, communication and personal development. For managers, there was an added focus on performance management, team development and motivating others.

Results
Participant self ratings of the relevance and application of their newly acquired skills were used to calculate an ROI of 580%. By 2009, the organisation’s operating income had risen to $150m, and it had successfully ridden the economic storm.
