All change

They say change is as good as a rest. In fact, it can be a whole lot better.

From ‘Who moved me cheese?’ to ‘Feel the fear and do it anyway’, bookshelves are creaking under the weight of advice on how to change.

It’s no surprise. Most of us have mental default settings that mean we’re most comfortable with the status quo.

The good news is that by understanding how these operate we can turn the dial them from ‘change averse’ to ‘change enthusiast’, without over-correcting to ‘change junky’.

As a result, we can navigate the ‘crazy time’ between the old way and the new, with equanimity. This way we gain energy from the prospect of what is just around the corner and arrive there stronger than we were before we started.

At the end of the Go large you will have:

  • Experienced what it is about change that makes you uncomfortable.
  • Discovered the emotional stages you will go through during a change.
  • Tested tactics to cope with each stage and prevent relapse to the ‘old way’.
  • Developed a personal strategy to make sure your next big change runs smoothly.
