Manager’s toolkit

The impact is greatest when the manager gets involved. This toolkit gives even recalcitrant managers the techniques and confidence to give targeted coaching when it matters most.

What is a Manager’s toolkit?

A Manager’s toolkit is a guide book to support managers in transforming the performance of their teams, generally through a specific programme.

While each toolkit is bespoke, it typically covers at least four areas:

  1. The degree to which small nudges from managers will make a massive difference to what the team member learns and applies (and the benefits to managers of taking a more active interest).
  2. The power of what the manager says before the programme starts, including the 5-star model for set-up and the manager’s role in ring-fencing time.
  3. How to build momentum, enthusiasm and application with light touches.
  4. Specific behaviours, techniques and responses to look out for and what to do when they aren’t there, both during Missions and day-to-day.

There is a core Manager’s toolkit which is versioned/tailored for specific programmes.
