Manager’s toolkit
The impact is greatest when the manager gets involved. This toolkit gives even recalcitrant managers the techniques and confidence to give targeted coaching when it matters most.
What is a Manager’s toolkit?
A Manager’s toolkit is a guide book to support managers in transforming the performance of their teams, generally through a specific programme.
While each toolkit is bespoke, it typically covers at least four areas:
- The degree to which small nudges from managers will make a massive difference to what the team member learns and applies (and the benefits to managers of taking a more active interest).
- The power of what the manager says before the programme starts, including the 5-star model for set-up and the manager’s role in ring-fencing time.
- How to build momentum, enthusiasm and application with light touches.
- Specific behaviours, techniques and responses to look out for and what to do when they aren’t there, both during Missions and day-to-day.
There is a core Manager’s toolkit which is versioned/tailored for specific programmes.
