Participant reviews
Most of us who feel we have responsibility for other people, whether as boss, parent or weekend sports coach, would like to be a source of inspiration.
And, whilst few of us will ever have the power of Martin Luther King or Mother Theresa, most of us could do more to inspire the people who work and live with us if we knew how. And if we have the appetite. As one participant on this workout said, “It’s my boss who needs to be on this, not me”. The boss is probably thinking the same about their boss.
Inspiring other people is not easy. It takes time, effort, sacrifice and, most of all, persistence. The good news is that the power to inspire is not something we are born with but something we can learn. And this workout is packed with practical tips to get you going.
In 90 minutes you will have
- Considered who has inspired you and what these inspirational people have in common that we can learn from.
- Played with the power of energy and mood as a non-verbal means of inspiration.
- Experimented with switching from everyday to inspirational language.
- Investigated how to develop a purpose or mission that will inspire the people around you.
- Looked at a particular situation where you want to inspire people and what more you can do to be an inspiration to them.
