Tricky people

Some people are a pain. They may be physically in the meeting but they could just as well be somewhere else.

Except when their subject comes on the agenda and then you can’t shut them up. Not that they ever say anything useful. Just whinge.

The pessimist, the know-it-all and the chatterbox are a few of the tricky people we come across in meetings that we would like to ignore (or do something more violent to) but can’t.

There are, however, well-tested techniques for dealing with most types of obstreperous meeting participants.

This workout helps you discover and practise some of these techniques so that you can avoid being sidetracked and increase the chances that everyone will leave your meetings feeling positive and praising your facilitation skills, even the people who were causing all the trouble in the first place.
