01 The business case (7:26)
Based on findings from four different studies, this section explores the correlation between performance management and employee engagement, customer loyalty, employee turnover, team member performance and productivity. Plus discover the main reasons why performance management often fails.
02 Stretching goals and consistent feedback (10:34)
We start to explore the five vital ingredients needed to build dynamic performance management, starting with stretching goals and regular feedback. Then, we look at the importance of consistent differentiation, in particular the ability to control our emotions in performance management.
03 Commercial coaching and job crafting (7:46)
This section looks at a new model of coaching that is more like commercial teaching. Results from a Mind Gym client show that this method of coaching led to a significant increase in the ability to hit revenue targets. Job crafting is the fourth ingredient, as performance management requires a fluid approach when matching interests and skill with task and role.
04 Employees take responsibility and next steps (10:34)
The fifth and final ingredient is about giving employees the opportunity to shape, control and manage their career by making them responsible for the quality of their performance conversations. The presentation ends by looking at how to put this theory into practical action.
